Bhargav Chippada

Bhargav Chippada is a Machine Learning Engineer at Google since January 2021, focusing on enhancing Google Lens web results for multimodal queries through deep learning models and transfer learning techniques. Previously, Bhargav served as a Graduate Grader at the University of Massachusetts Amherst for the Quantum Information Systems course in late 2020. During an internship at Google in 2020, Bhargav contributed to the AV1 codec project, improving video quality using CNN methods. Prior experience includes a Software Engineer role at Microsoft, where Bhargav improved Bing local search precision and migrated data processing pipelines to Azure, and as a Software Development Engineer at Ola, developing algorithms for cab movement tracking. Bhargav holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science with a concentration in Data Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
