Brendan Buckley

Brendan Buckley has extensive experience in data engineering and analytics, having worked at various notable companies. Brendan began a career as a Data Engineer at AOL from 2001 to 2004, followed by a Data Warehouse Consultant role at Macquarie Bank from 2005 to 2008. Brendan continued as a Data Warehouse Engineer at Telefónica Ireland in 2008-2009 and then transitioned to Aon Centre for Innovation and Analytics, serving in roles including Data Warehouse Engineer and Director - Head of Data Operations until 2012. Afterward, Brendan took on Data Engineering & BI Manager responsibilities at Aon before moving to Looker as a Professional Services Consultant in 2019 and then continuing as a Professional Services Consultant at Google starting in February 2020. Brendan's recent position includes serving as a Technical Solutions Consultant at Google until December 2025 and currently works in a dual role in Data and Data & AI at Hivenet. Brendan holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry from University College Cork and a Graduate Diploma in Software Design and Development from the National University of Ireland, Galway.
