Brett Allen is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in the technology and entertainment industries. Beginning with a student internship at Electronic Arts in 1998, Brett further developed skills as a research student at Sony Corporation in Tokyo from 1997 to 1998. Brett then served as an R&D engineer at Industrial Light & Magic from 2006 to 2011, before transitioning to a software engineer role at Google in July 2011, where Brett continues to contribute. Brett holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from The University of British Columbia, completed in 1999, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Washington, awarded in 2005.
