Brian Naughton

Brian Naughton is a Staff Data Scientist at Google, where they develop causal inference methods, design experiments, and build machine learning models in Google Payments. Prior to this role, Brian served as a Senior Data Scientist at Google and held various internships, including a Summer Research Intern position at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, where they achieved high precision in classifying YouTube video topics using machine learning. Brian has also worked as an Analyst at Red Ventures and an Actuarial Intern at TIAA-CREF, contributing to significant data analysis projects. Additionally, Brian is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Notre Dame, where they teach a Statistical Learning course in the online Masters in Data Science Program, creating comprehensive course materials and engaging with students. Brian holds a PhD in Statistics from North Carolina State University.
