Bruce Yang has extensive experience in software engineering and management. Beginning as a Research Intern at Siemens, Bruce progressed to Microsoft Research Asia as an RSDE from April 2007 to June 2012, collaborating with researchers on projects in search and mobile computing. Subsequently, Bruce worked in the Microsoft Online Service Division from July 2012 to January 2017 as an SDE II, enhancing search functionalities for Internet Explorer and Windows, and developing productivity applications for Office. Following this, Bruce served as a Senior Software Engineer at Amazon from January 2017 to September 2019, focusing on shopping recommendations for Amazon.com and Alexa. Bruce then became a Software Engineering Manager at Amazon Web Services from September 2019 to June 2022, where the effort was directed towards brokering new business for AWS Marketplace. Currently, Bruce is an Engineering Manager at Google, concentrating on security for Google Cloud Storage. Bruce holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Beihang University, earned between 2004 and 2007.
