Carmelo Fontana

Carmelo Fontana is a Senior Regional Counsel at Google, where they focus on the Italian commercial and regulatory practice. They are a tech-law attorney qualified in California and Italy, specializing in IP law, privacy law, and content licensing. Carmelo graduated summa cum laude from LUISS Law School and earned an LL.M. in Law Science and Technology from Stanford Law School as a Fulbright Scholar. Prior to their role at Google, Carmelo co-founded an Internet start-up and worked as an attorney with Cleary Gottlieb and the European Commission Legal Service. They also serve as a lecturer at SDA Bocconi, focusing on the legal and tax aspects of the digital economy.
