Chad Befus

Chad Befus is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as an Engineering Manager at Google since February 2022. Prior to this role, Chad held the position of Senior Research Engineering Manager at Indeed.com, where responsibilities included managing multiple teams of software and research engineers. Chad's extensive background includes co-founding and acting as CTO for Cuvered, and leading Trade Tournaments as CEO, where innovative systems were developed for educational investment simulation. Additional experience spans roles in data science, software engineering, and legacy system migration at companies such as Maxwell Analytics, uStudio, and Shell, supported by a strong academic foundation with degrees in Computer Science from The University of Lethbridge.
