Charles Killian is an accomplished computer scientist with a strong background in research and academia. Killian served as a Research Assistant at UCSD, developing the Mace programming toolkit for distributed systems, and was a PhD candidate under advisor Amin Vahdat. Earlier experience includes a Research Intern position at Microsoft Research, where work focused on operating systems and resource management. Following graduate studies, Killian held the position of Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Purdue University, leading a research group and collaborating with faculty and researchers. Currently, Killian is a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Google. Educational qualifications include a BS in Computer Science and Applied Math from North Carolina State University, an MS in Computer Science from Duke University, and a PhD in Computer Science from UC San Diego.
