Chen Song

Chen Song is a professional with significant experience in the fields of machine learning and cyber-physical systems. As an Assistant Professor at San Diego State University from August 2019 to August 2022, Chen focused on advancing multi-modal machine learning for novel cyber-physical interactions. Prior to this, a research internship at Microsoft involved developing a sensor fusion system for learning-based motion estimation in virtual reality products. Currently, as a Deep Learning Engineer at Google, Chen explores dedicated deep learning systems aimed at innovative image and video machine learning solutions for edge devices. Prior involvement as a Research Assistant at the University at Buffalo contributed to efforts in empowering cyber-physical systems and human biometrics through computer science technologies. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Human Computer Interaction and a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University at Buffalo, along with studies in optics/optical sciences from Fudan University.
