Chengji Yao has a strong background in software engineering, with experience at leading technology companies. Beginning a career at Microsoft in the AI Infrastructure team as a Software Engineer from June 2016 to April 2018, Chengji then transitioned to MEGVII at the position of Software Engineer 2 before advancing to Senior Software Engineer and Tech Lead from April 2018 to April 2019. Following this, Chengji worked at ByteDance, initially as a Software Engineer Intern and progressing through roles to become a Senior Software Engineer and then a Staff Software Engineer until October 2022, contributing to projects detailed on GitHub. Currently, Chengji serves as a Staff Software Engineer at Google since January 2025. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science (BS) and a Master of Science (MS) in Electronic Engineering, both obtained from Tsinghua University between 2009 and 2016.
