Chengzhi Li has extensive experience in system design and engineering, with a career spanning over two decades in the telecommunications industry. Starting as a DSP/System Engineer at Xinwei Telecom Technology from 2005 to 2007, Chengzhi then served as a Research Assistant at North Carolina State University while completing a Ph.D. in wireless communication. Chengzhi progressed to Broadcom Limited as a Staff II Scientist from May 2012 to July 2014 and subsequently held roles at Qualcomm from July 2014 to March 2020, focusing on 5GNR demodulation and mmwave beam management. Following a tenure as a Principal System/Algorithm Engineer at ZEKU Technology from March 2020 to December 2022, leading downlink PHY design, Chengzhi is currently a Technical Lead at Google. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science from Nankai University, a Master’s degree from Peking University, and a Ph.D. from North Carolina State University.
