Chia Dai

Chia Dai is a software engineer at Google since October 2021, specializing in designing and implementing load balancers for large-scale machine learning training infrastructure. Prior experience includes roles as a machine learning engineer at Lightmatter and as a research engineer at ArgoAI, where Chia led the development of a self-service query engine for filtering extensive raw sensor log data. Chia's earlier career includes serving as a research assistant at Carnegie Mellon University, focusing on few-shot semantic segmentation, and as a machine learning engineer at TuSimple, where contributions involved modifying a path prediction pipeline for real-time applications. Chia holds a Master of Science degree in Robotics Research and two Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, all from Carnegie Mellon University.
