Ching-An Cheng is a highly experienced researcher with a robust background in reinforcement learning, imitation learning, and robotics. As a PhD candidate at the Georgia Institute of Technology from August 2015 to December 2019, Ching-An focused on various advanced topics including online learning, meta learning, and large-scale Gaussian process learning. Prior to this, Ching-An contributed as a research assistant and undergraduate researcher at the Robotics Lab of National Taiwan University, engaging in projects related to humanoid robots and motor imagery classification. Ching-An's professional journey includes significant roles at Microsoft as a principal researcher and senior researcher, where projects revolved around generative optimization and learning from language feedback. Currently, Ching-An serves as a senior research scientist at Google, continuing to push the boundaries in the fields of reinforcement learning and robotics.
