Chris Tar has an extensive background in network and engineering management, beginning with roles at Bloomberg LP from 1999 to 2005, where responsibilities included Network Engineer and Network Manager for Asia. In February 2007, Chris joined Google Inc. as Network Operations Manager, transitioning to Engineering Manager for Google Research in August 2014. Currently, Chris serves as Software Engineering Manager at Google DeepMind since May 2024. Academically, Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Vermont (1994-1998) and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business (2009-2012).
