Christopher Ayala

Christopher Ayala is a research scientist at Google Quantum AI, focusing on emerging circuit technology, particularly superconductor-based adiabatic quantum-flux-parametron logic and single-flux-quantum logic. They previously held positions as Head of Cryoelectronics at Atlantic Quantum, which was acquired by Google, and were a visiting professor at Yokohama National University, where they conducted research on superconducting electronics and VLSI design methodologies. Ayala has also worked as a postdoctoral fellow at IBM Research, where they received the 2014 ESSDERC Best Young Scientist Award. Their extensive experience includes internships and research roles at NVIDIA and Stony Brook University, contributing to advancements in VLSI design and energy-efficient computing technologies.
