Colin Tan is an experienced professional with a diverse background in emergency medical services, fraud analysis, and risk management. Starting as a Combat Medic in the Republic of Singapore Navy, Colin specialized in diving-related medical cases and assisted medical officers. Transitioning to the private sector, Colin served as a Paramedic at Singapore Emergency Ambulance Services, ensuring safety at high-risk events and documenting incidents. Colin then worked at Shopee as a Regional Operations (Fraud) analyst, where responsibilities included monitoring fraud detection processes and performing data analysis. Further experience as a Risk Analyst at ByteDance involved investigating disputed transactions and identifying fraud indicators, leading to significant fraud savings through collaborative projects. Currently, Colin holds a Risk Analyst position at Google. Colin possesses a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Data Science & Analytics from the National University of Singapore, further enhancing expertise in data-driven decision-making.
