Danie Theron

Danie Theron is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in technology auditing and data science. Danie began a career at Caffe Gelato as a Database Administrator, later serving as an Associate at KPMG LLP, where responsibilities included IT General Controls and application controls testing. From June 2010 to August 2014, Danie was a Technology Audit Manager at Vishay, managing IT internal audits across multiple continents. Danie transitioned to Google, where various roles included Sr. Manager for Data Science and GenAI Tech Lead, overseeing audits and integrating data-driven decision-making with a focus on cross-functional projects. Danie also contributed as a Grader and Teaching Assistant at the University of California, Berkeley, while holding the position of Program Manager for the Google AI Impact Challenge Startup Accelerator. Danie holds a Master of Science degree in Information and Data Science from UC Berkeley and a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Delaware.
