Daniel Filip is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in graphics, software development, and augmented reality. As a Senior Staff Engineer at Gradient Design Automation, Daniel developed innovative 3D graphics and GPU algorithms for chip thermal flow visualization. At Rasna Corporation and PTC, Daniel served as a Senior Software Engineer/System Architect and Vice President of Technology, respectively. Daniel played a pivotal role at Google since 2011, initially as a Senior Staff Engineer for Geo Imagery Capture and Experience and later as Principal Engineer focused on Maps and Augmented Reality. Daniel's contributions include leading the development of immersive imagery products and founding the Augmented Reality team within Google Maps. Daniel co-founded Protein Mechanics to apply mechanical engineering techniques to protein folding, transitioning the company's focus to predicting protein conformational changes.
