Daniel Y. Liao

Daniel Y. Liao is a Performance Architect at Google, specializing in verification engineering for multimedia SoCs. They have extensive expertise in video codec standards such as H.265/HEVC, H.264, and MPEG, along with proficiency in various programming languages including C/C++, Assembly, and Verilog. Daniel previously held positions as a Design Verification Technical Lead at Intel Corporation and as a Design Verification Manager/Engineer at Realtek Semiconductor Group, where they managed a team of ten verification engineers. They are currently pursuing a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (VLSI Design) at the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin.
