Dave Owens

Dave Owens is a corporate counsel at Google with a decade of experience in technology law, including drafting and negotiating technology transactions, product counseling, and advising on intellectual property and privacy matters. They have held various roles in legal practice, including as a senior commercial and product counsel in a financial technology startup and as an attorney providing independent filmmakers with legal guidance. Owens has also served as an instructor at FIDM, developing curriculum for an Introduction to Law course, and they actively contribute to the arts community as Vice Chairperson for the San Ramon Arts Advisory Committee and as a board member for the San Ramon Arts Foundation. They earned a JD from the University of San Francisco School of Law and hold a BA in Telecommunications from Ball State University.
