David McLaughlin is the Director of the Global Developer Ecosystem at Google, a position held since 2009. They have played a pivotal role in shaping Google's Developer Relations, leading initiatives that extend outreach to millions of developers across more than 140 countries. Previously, David contributed to the launch of Google's Developer Advocates initiative and expanded various community programs including Google Developer Groups and the Google for Startups Accelerator. With a Master's degree in Communication, Culture, and Technology from Georgetown University and a Bachelor's in Mathematics from Vanderbilt University, David combines technical expertise with a strong understanding of community engagement. Prior to joining Google, David worked at Dogwood Productions as a Web Developer and led IT and security efforts.
