David Ross

David Ross is the Foundational Research Manager at Google DeepMind, where they lead the Visual Information and Dynamics team focused on video understanding, object detection, and action recognition. Previously, David led the YouTube Mix team that developed the personalized algorithmic radio feature for YouTube Music. David obtained a Ph.D. in Machine Learning and Computer Vision from the University of Toronto, where their thesis centered on probabilistic models for visual motion. They have also contributed to projects that advanced activity recognition in videos and published research at prominent academic conferences.
