David Ruiz

Principal Engineer

David Ruiz is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in the tech industry. Currently serving as a Principal Engineer at Google since June 2025, David previously held the same title at Snowflake from July 2022 to June 2025. Prior to that, David spent seven years at Google as a Senior Staff Software Engineer, leading teams in the development of Borg, the company's cluster management system. David's career began at Microsoft, where as a Senior Software Engineer from August 2009 to April 2015, contributed to the creation of Microsoft Word and Publisher. David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Miami, earned between 2005 and 2009.
