David Webster

David Webster is a highly accomplished design and engineering professional with extensive experience in product design and organizational transformation. Notable roles include serving as Partner and Head of the global Health practice at IDEO, where David transformed the health segment and expanded service offerings, and as Studio Head of IDEO San Francisco, achieving significant growth in profitability and headcount. As a Partner and Executive Director of Product & Service and Realization at IDEO, David managed a large team of designers to pioneer innovative product development in collaboration with global technology companies. Additional experience includes previous positions at GK Design International Inc. and Unilever, along with a current role as Head of UX at Google. David holds a first-class BEng in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Edinburgh, an MDes in Industrial Design Engineering from the Royal College of Art, and additional degrees from Imperial College London and The University of Sheffield.
