Derrick Rice

Derrick Rice is a software engineer with extensive experience in systems software development and data management. Derrick has held positions at leading technology companies, including Akamai Technologies, Google, Facebook, and HP Vertica, where responsibilities included scoping, designing, and implementing web-based tools, improving data protection, and building internal systems for user data management. Derrick's role as a consultant focuses on creating privacy-aware data systems and responsible management of sensitive data. Additionally, Derrick serves as a board member for Miranda’s Hearth, bringing expertise in organizational behavior to the community non-profit. Derrick holds a BS and MS in Computer Science from Tufts University.
