Derya Ozkan

Derya Ozkan has a strong background in computer science and engineering, beginning with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Bilkent University, followed by a Master’s degree and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Southern California. Experience includes serving as a Teaching Assistant at both Bilkent University and the University of Southern California, covering various subjects such as algorithms, programming, and computer vision. Derya also completed research internships at Siemens Corporate Research and AT&T, focusing on vessel segmentation from MRI images and the development of multimodal interfaces for smart home systems, respectively. Currently, Derya works as a Software Engineer at Google, contributing to the Android team and focusing on multimedia content analysis and wearable technology.
