Diego Gomez is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Google, currently focused on YouTube's large-scale safety initiatives. Since 2018, Diego has contributed to building advanced video, image, and text classifiers, leading efforts in safety detection. Prior to this, Diego was a Research Assistant at Universidad de los Andes, where they published findings in the Astrophysics Journal and developed a significant dataset for astronomical event recognition. Diego holds multiple nanodegrees in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence from Udacity, in addition to a cum laude Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Universidad de los Andes.
