Dimitris Dimitropoulos

Dimitris Dimitropoulos is a skilled software engineer with extensive experience in both front-end development and database architecture. Beginning a career at INTRACOM from 1994 to 1998, Dimitris progressed to the European Bioinformatics Institute (EBI) where a notable tenure from 2000 to July 2010 included roles as project leader, database loader architect, database designer, web developer, and ChemoInformatics expert, in addition to serving as a senior software engineer until 2009. After contributing as lead web architect and programmer analyst for RCSB PDB at the University of California, San Diego from October 2009 to September 2012, the focus shifted to Google in October 2012, where front-end development tasks involved Google Optimize, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager. Academic qualifications include a B.A. in Computer and Software Engineering from Panepistimion Patron and an M.Sc. in Management Science and Operational Research from the University of Hertfordshire, along with certifications in Java and Prince2.
