Donal Cahill

Donal Cahill is a seasoned researcher in psychology and user experience, currently serving as a Quantitative User Experience Researcher at Google since October 2017. Previously, Donal worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, focusing on optimistically biased decision-making, and as a Research Associate at University College London. Donal's experience includes roles as a Departmental Writing Fellow and Graduate Researcher at Harvard University, where significant contributions included the development of educational materials and the design of over 30 psychological experiments. Earlier roles included Lab Manager at Trinity College Dublin, coordinating cognitive neuroscience operations and analyzing fMRI datasets. Donal holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Trinity College Dublin and multiple degrees from Harvard University, including a Master's and PhD in Experimental Psychology, along with a Master's in Cognitive Science from University College Dublin.
