Dr. Florian Lachner

Dr. Florian Lachner is a Staff UXR Manager at Google, leveraging over 13 years of experience in mixed-methods UX research. They have led various initiatives, including the Privacy Sandbox for Chrome, focusing on enhancing user privacy and safety. Prior to their current role, Dr. Lachner held positions at companies such as BMW Group and Bain & Company, and managed marketing and UX strategies at doo GmbH. They earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Technische Universität München, along with a doctorate in Human-Computer Interaction from Ludwig-Maximilians Universität München. Their experience is enriched with research fellowships and engagements at prestigious institutions, including the University of California, Berkeley.
