Dr. Thomas Ewert

Dr. Thomas Ewert is currently a Counsel in Content, EMEA - Regulatory Affairs at Google, and serves as a lecturer for Copyright at Bielefeld University. They have previously held roles as a Legal Officer for the European Commission, focusing on copyright reform, and at the Bundesministerium der Justiz, where they worked on the implementation of the DSM Directive. Dr. Ewert also has experience as an Associate at a law firm and has completed a legal traineeship that included positions with various organizations. They earned a Ph.D. in law from Bielefeld University and a Master of Laws from La Trobe University.
