Drew Bryant has extensive experience in computational analytics, machine learning, and software engineering. As a Research Assistant at the Physical and Biological Computing Group at Rice University from April 2004 to May 2012, Drew designed large-scale computational analytics pipelines for 3D protein structure classification. Following this, Drew held positions at Amazon as a Software Development Engineer in Product Ads and later as a Machine Learning Scientist focusing on Amazon Clicks from April 2012 to March 2013. An Instructor role at the University of Washington occurred in June 2017, while Drew has been a Senior Software Engineer at Google since October 2013, engaged in applied ML research with Google Accelerated Science. Additional experience includes an internship at Genentech in 2007, optimizing monoclonal antibody purification processes, and a Research Assistant role at the Center for Biomedical and Environmental Genomics at the University of Houston in 2010, implementing statistical models for sequencing anomalies. Drew Bryant holds a PhD in Computer Science, an MS in Computer Science, and a BS in Bioengineering, all from Rice University.
