Dvir Kafri

Dvir Kafri is an accomplished physicist with extensive experience in quantum computing and superconducting architectures. At Google, Dvir worked as a Senior Research Scientist in the Quantum A.I. Lab from January 2016 to November 2022, focusing on the application of physics theory to superconducting quantum systems. Prior to this role, Dvir completed an internship at the same lab in 2015, where research centered on superconducting circuit designs. Earlier in Dvir's career, a position as a Staff Research Scientist was held at the University of Maryland from August 2009 to June 2015, following the completion of a Ph.D. in Physics at the same institution. Dvir also holds a BA in Mathematics and a BSc in Computational Physics (Summa Cum Laude) from Rice University, where studies were conducted from 2005 to 2009.
