Éamonn McManus

Software engineer

Éamonn McManus is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in software development, particularly in operating systems and Java-based applications. Early career involvement included work on embedded operating systems at Datacode Systems and operating system "personality" servers at the Open Software Foundation, followed by a role at The Open Group after its merger with X/Open. Éamonn further advanced skills at Silicomp, focusing on client projects, before taking on a senior staff engineer position at Sun Microsystems where architectural leadership was provided for Java Management Extensions (JMX) technologies. Subsequent consulting at Oracle involved continued development of the JavaFX Authoring Tool. Currently, Éamonn is a software engineer at Google, contributing to various projects since October 2011.
