Edward Lu

Edward Lu has extensive experience in software engineering, particularly with Google from May 2012 to June 2025, where roles included Senior Staff Software Engineer leading teams on personalization and contextualization in Search and AI, as well as managing Google Travel Planning Backend as Tech Lead. Edward also contributed to the Google Wallet team as a Software Engineer Intern. Prior to Google, Edward served as VP of May Commencement at UC Berkeley, managing graduation events and relations with university organizations, and conducted research in parallel computing under Professor Rastislav Bodik. Educationally, Edward holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, both from the University of California, Berkeley.
