Efthymios Tzinis

Efthymios Tzinis is a Senior Research Scientist at Google, specializing in audio-visual perception and sound understanding for mobile devices. They earned a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and previously obtained a diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens. Prior to their current role, Efthymios conducted research at Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories and Reality Labs at Meta, and participated in internships focused on computer security and IT advisory. As a recipient of the Google PhD Fellowship, they have contributed significantly to the field of audio technology, leading teams in the development of innovative audio generation models.
