Esha Nerurkar is a seasoned software engineer and manager with extensive experience in the fields of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR). Beginning a career at Google in September 2013 as a Senior Software Engineer, Esha led efforts in developing vision-inertial sensor fusion algorithms for AR/VR products and contributed to motion tracking and scene understanding initiatives through ARCore. Since March 2018, Esha has served as a Senior Staff Engineering Manager, overseeing a team focused on providing precise geospatial location and orientation data for Google's Street View and aerial imagery. Esha holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, obtained in 2013.
