Feng Sheng

Feng Sheng is currently a Staff Software Engineer at Google, focused on optimizing AI infrastructure and workloads through the ML compiler XLA and software-hardware co-design for future generations of TPU. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Principal Engineer at SambaNova Systems, where they led AI compiler optimizations and significant performance improvements. Feng also has experience as an R&D Engineer at ANSYS, Inc., and was a Staff R&D Engineer at Synopsys Inc., where they contributed to ML augmentation and multi-objective optimization in IC design. They began their academic career as a Research Assistant at Purdue University, earning both a Bachelor’s and a Ph.D. in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Zhejiang University and Purdue University, respectively.
