Firas Charrouf

Firas Charrouf, MSc, PEng, has extensive experience in network engineering and management across several notable organizations. Firas began a career as a Support Analyst at the University of Alberta before advancing to roles such as Network Engineer at DataGardens Inc. and Consultant/Engineer at TELUS Communications. Firas continued to progress at TELUS, taking on senior engineering and managerial positions, ultimately leading the Planning & Engineering team and focusing on the development of optical technologies and network operations. More recently, Firas worked at Google as a Manager of Network Engineering and Technical Program Manager, supporting automation and operationalization of optical networks. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical from Universidade de Brasília and a Master of Science in Internetworking from the University of Alberta.
