Frank Zhang has extensive experience in the optical engineering field, having held senior positions at several prominent companies. Zhang served as a Senior NPI Advisory Engineer at Solectron Corporation from 2001 to 2002 and then transitioned to Avanex as a Senior Product & Process Development Engineer from February 2002 to January 2006. Following this, Zhang held the position of Global Supplier Quality Engineer at JDSU from April 2006 to September 2008. At Infinera, from January 2015 to October 2022, Zhang advanced to Principal Optical Engineer and also served as Principal Manufacturing Engineer, focusing on optical components and hardware. Currently, Zhang is an Optical Component Engineer at Google since October 2022. Zhang’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronic Engineering from the University of Electronic Science & Technology of China and a Master in Physics from Fisk University.
