Gal Yona

Gal Yona is a Research Scientist at Google, having transitioned from a Research Intern role within Google Health, where contributions focused on improving healthcare accessibility and equity. Prior experience includes internships at Google Research TLV, collaborating on interactive learning for dialogue systems, and Microsoft Research, where work centered on algorithmic fairness. As a Research Assistant at Cellebrite, responsibilities involved applying machine learning techniques to enhance data for various analytics tasks. Earlier experience in the Israeli Intelligence Unit involved extensive research and analysis, along with training personnel. Gal Yona holds a PhD and Master's degree in Computer Science from the Weizmann Institute of Science, and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Economics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
