Ganesh Gella is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in artificial intelligence and software development. Currently serving as Senior Director of Engineering for Generative AI with BigQuery at Google since April 2025, Ganesh spearheads initiatives in the Google Cloud Platform. Previously, Ganesh held several key roles at Amazon Web Services from July 2017 to April 2025, including Director of Software Development for AWS AI/ML and General Manager for Amazon Lex and Generative AI Bedrock, as well as Senior Software Development Manager for AWS Lex. Prior experience at Amazon includes leadership roles in the Alexa Skills Kit and Amazon Marketplace Technologies, as well as experience at Microsoft and Veritas Software Corporation. Ganesh holds a B.E (Hons) and MS in Computer Science from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
