Gerardo Fernández

Gerardo Fernández is a self-taught Senior Security Engineer at VirusTotal, where they have been contributing since 2019, and also work for Google in the same capacity. With prior experience as a Malware Analyst and Project Manager at NICS Lab from 2004 to 2019, Gerardo focused on malware behavior and attack patterns. They co-founded Vulnera and served as its CTO from 2002 to 2004, where they designed multiple security products. Gerardo holds a Master's degree in Computer Science Engineering from the Universidad de Málaga and continues to expand their expertise through studies at the Vienna University of Technology.
