Gilles Rainer is a Research Scientist at Google since November 2024, following a position as a Research Associate at Imperial College London from June 2023 to November 2024. Prior to that, Gilles served as a Senior Research Scientist at Lumirithmic from February 2022 to October 2024 and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Inria from December 2020 to January 2022, where significant contributions were made to real-time neural rendering within the GRAPHDECO research group, culminating in a publication at Eurographics 2022. Gilles also completed a PhD internship at PlayStation in 2020, focusing on Deep Learning solutions for Global Illumination Rendering. Educationally, Gilles holds a PhD in Computer Graphics from UCL, completed in December 2020, and a Master’s Degree from UCL in Computer Graphics, Vision and Imaging. Further credentials include an Engineer’s Degree from Télécom Paris and preparatory coursework at Lycée du Parc.
