Han Weng

Han Weng is an experienced software engineer with a strong background in database systems and distributed computing. Weng served as a research assistant at the Institute for Quantum Computing and worked at Huawei Technologies Canada Co., Ltd. as a Software Engineer specializing in the early development of openLooKeng, focusing on distributed query engines. At Google, Weng initially focused on building Google’s NoSQL database Cloud Firestore/Datastore, and subsequently advanced to the role of Senior Software Engineer. Educational qualifications include a Master of Engineering in Software Engineering from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Engineering in Nano Engineering from Soochow University, along with notable academic achievements in a combined degree program in Physics and Astronomy. Weng also contributed as a teaching assistant for database systems at the University of Waterloo.
