Hao

Hao Ma is a seasoned professional in artificial intelligence and data science, currently serving as Senior Director at Google since December 2025, where the focus is on advancing GenAI transformation within productivity and collaboration products. Previously, Hao held multiple leadership roles at Meta from May 2023 to November 2025, including Director of the Llama Capability team and Director of Meta AI, where efforts were concentrated on establishing Meta AI as the leading intelligent assistant and developing foundational models. Prior experience includes being VP of AI and Data Science at Flip, leading a talented team to enhance personalized shopping experiences, and directing over 200 researchers and engineers at Meta to create industry-leading recommender systems from April 2018 to February 2023. Hao's career began at Microsoft from January 2011 to March 2018, focusing on recommendation and NLP techniques to optimize search functionality. Academically, Hao earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2010.
