Hoda Hawa

Civil Rights Policy Lead

Hoda Hawa is a seasoned professional in the fields of security and advocacy, currently serving as a Security Fellow at the Truman National Security Project since December 2017. Hoda has extensive experience in leadership roles, including as a Civil Rights Policy Lead at Google since June 2022, and previously as the Director of Policy and Advocacy at the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) from June 2011 to April 2020. Hoda has contributed to the programmatic development and implementation at various organizations, with earlier roles including Program Coordinator at Georgetown University, Program Assistant at the Levantine Cultural Center, and Congressional Intern at the U.S. House of Representatives. Hoda holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The George Washington University and a Master of Arts in Ethics, Peace and Global Affairs from American University. Hoda is also actively engaged in discussions surrounding representation, diversity, and inclusion for underrepresented communities.
