Hong Liu is a seasoned expert in hardware architecture and design, currently serving as a Google Fellow since January 2006. At Google, Hong Liu has focused on server, storage, and networking equipment, acting as the chief architect for multiple iterations of large-scale data center interconnects. Previously, from 2000 to 2006, Hong Liu held the position of MTS at Juniper Networks in the Core Router Business, significantly contributing to the architecture and design of network core routers and multi-chassis switches, including the T640 core router, the OC768 line card, and the TX640 switch-matrix. Hong Liu holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science in Information Physics from Nanjing University.
