Ido Amit is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the fields of perception algorithms and computer vision. From January 2021 to July 2025, Ido served as the Perception Algorithms Team Lead and CV Applied Researcher at General Motors. Prior to that, from August 2015 to May 2018, Ido was a Design Verification Engineer at Apple. Ido's background also includes a role as a Captain officer in Military Intelligence for the Israel Defense Forces from October 2006 to March 2012. Currently, since July 2025, Ido has been a Research Engineer at Google. Additionally, Ido was an instructor in the Magshimim National Cyber Education Program, teaching computer structure and Assembly Language to high school students. Ido holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from IDC Herzliya (2017-2019) and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (2012-2016).
