Ignacio Mendez

Ignacio (Nacho) Mendez has over two decades of experience in prototyping and model making, with a career that began at Edge Innovations from 1990 to 2002, where roles included Senior Model Maker and Project Coordinator. From May 1995 to July 1998, Ignacio held various positions at IDEO, culminating as Director of Prototyping. Subsequent to that, Ignacio served as Director of Prototyping at Radius from July 2015 to February 2016, where a state-of-the-art prototyping lab was established. Currently, since February 2016, Ignacio works at Google as Model Shop Manager and Operations Manager, leading the transformation of Google's machine shop into a premier prototyping facility supporting over 100 teams. Education includes ongoing learning at IDEO and studies at De Anza College.
